- White Ebony logs are mostly found in South East Asia.
- The heartwood is a creamy white with distinctive black veins running in random directions. The veneer has a fine texture and when sliced across the crown the veneer reveals wild black and white streaks.
- The only other timber to display such marking is Ziricote.
