FEATURED VENEER OF THE MONTH
Japanese Tamo Ash VeneerThese amazing trees grow mainly on Japan's Northern Islands of Hokkaido. Temperatures in winter often reach minus 30 degrees celcius. A little bit colder than Dubai in January!! It is thought that the cold wind blowing over the trunks of the trees causes the grain to develop into a "blister/ peanut"grain pattern. It is very rare and very sought after.
For decades Tamo Ash has been used for the most prestigious work, including fine furniture, Jewelry and watch boxes, special doors and Architectural panelling for Palaces.
As a light colour veneer, it is unique and is like no other. When the figuring is strong, the veneer looks 3D in appearance. Reliance Veneer Timber Trading hold selected stocks in furniture, door and panel lengths. |
